Dungarees – Fierce and Beautiful!

Reading Time: 2 minutes

Did you ever throw away a favorite piece of clothing because it was no longer “IN”? I have found that this is usually a grave mistake. Every trend will go into the darkness for a while, undergo a makeover and come back…. sometimes really soon, sometimes ages later. It’s the same way that you might not feel like an omelette today, but that doesn’t mean you will never eat an omelette again in your life. That’s how your mum’s puff sleeves came back into the limelight, it’s how bell bottoms are finding buyers again, and it is also exactly how dungarees are cool again.

I find that dungarees are the perfect solution for when you want to do denims, but wish to be dressier than just a pair of jeans and a tee shirt. It is also perfect when you want to marry comfort to style. It is exactly what you need, for example, when visiting the Philae temple in Egypt (Cover up, but look amazing).

I paired these dungarees with a striking full-sleeved striped t-shirt that was an emergency buy in Italy. I went minimalistic with my accessories as well as my make-up, because I felt like the outfit was a statement in itself. I didn’t want anything taking away from that. To keep with the easy vibe of the outfit, I pulled my hair back in a ponytail.

The shoes were a present from The Husband, but I suspect they were purchased from Flipkart. As you can see, I went a bit crazy with the stripes this day. 😊

These RayBan sunglasses are the only ones that will suit my face, and are a prized possession. I look rather weird with anything else that I wear, so you will see this one much more in the future.

Philae Temple – Where we fell in love all over again

Dungarees: Pantaloons

T-Shirt: NYC (Italy)

Shoes: Flipkart

Sunglasses: RayBan

Bag: Globus

Makeup: Compact, Kohl Pencil and Nude Lipstick from L’Oreal.

Moral of this story: Now that the trend is moving again towards bell-bottoms, do yourself a favor and do not throw your skinny jeans away. I suspect they will come back, sooner rather than later. 😊
